We
love knowing what brides are planning for their weddings, and we love helping
them create the weddings of their dreams! So when a bride recently came to us
for advice about centerpieces for her winter wedding — her colors are blue and
espresso — we jumped at the chance to give her creative ideas.
We
fell in love with the idea of using non-traditional colors for a winter
wedding. Everyone sees plenty of red and green during the holidays, right? A
color scheme of deep brown and shades of blue is perfect for adding unique
warmth and unforgettable sparkle to a wedding in the chilly months.
Here’s
what we came up with for tablescapes that will welcome and WOW guests at a
winter wedding. Each uses the same elements in slightly different ways. You can
use the same centerpiece look for each table, but we suggest using all four all
looks and spreading them out over your tables to create variety and visual interest.
Look #1
For
this spectacular centerpiece, we used a traditional evergreen wreath base, then
added metallic gold branches, gold-tipped pinecones and leaves to bring in the
brown tones, strands of metallic blue beads and copper ribbon for variety. In the
center is our flared vase
filled with various styles and shades of blue ornaments and beads. Encourage
each guest to take home an ornament as a favor when the reception is over!
Complete the table’s look with blue place cards,
espresso napkins and espresso
favor boxes at each place
setting.
Look #2
Use
the same vase filled
with ornaments and beads in the center of the table, and surround it with square
votive holders filled with
blue beads or sand —
you can’t have enough candlelight at a winter wedding!
Look #3
A
simple, shimmering espresso candle in the same flared vase will create a clean, but still elegant, centerpiece. Tie espresso and blue ribbons around the vase to tie in your
colors.
Look #4
Create
a favor display that doubles as a centerpiece! Our espresso favor boxes
tied with blue ribbon can
be stacked in a fun pyramid shape guests will love looking at…and love opening
even more. Set the favors on a square mirror in the center of the table and add a few ornaments around the arrangement to
bring in the blue and some sparkle.
Then,
get ready to celebrate your winter wedding with your guests in a unique way!

I love your idea for these centerpieces. I have researched and researched and can not find vases like these for cheaper than $20! If you have a suggestion on where to buy for cheaper, please let me know. Thank you for the inspiration!
