Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m spending today surrounded by hearts, roses and all things red and romantic…just take a look:
If you’re planning a wedding on February 14, 2014, start making those plans final now, because it’s a Friday and I’m sure lots of brides will be clamoring for that date. But I also love the roses, red and heart look for romantic weddings anytime of year.
Once you have your wedding date set, be sure to announce it in a way that lets guests get a glimpse of your romantic wedding style. Sharing a little secret: My favorite new holiday entertaining recipe!
We all have our little secrets that help us throw great parties. Maybe it’s your flair with floral arrangements, your talent with table settings, or your “in” with the baker down the street whose delicious desserts you dress up with a few sparkles and serve with style.
Well, here’s a little secret of mine that I’ve been serving at parties this holiday season. It’s a recipe that’s easy, tasty, and a big hit with my guests.
Spinach Ball Appetizers
• 2, 10-oz. packages of frozen chopped spinach
• 2 cups herbed bread cube dressing
• 6 eggs (slightly beaten)
• 3/4 cup softened butter
• chopped onion
• 1/4 tsp. thyme
• 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• Cook spinach (follow directions on package) drain WELL. Crush bread cubes. Combine all ingredients.
• Roll into walnut-sized balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-13 minutes. Let cool.
• Serve on platters.
You can freeze uncooked spinach balls for up to three months. Just thaw them before you pop them in the oven for the next party!

Throw a stylish New Year’s Eve party with help from Jean M!
December is coming to a close and I’m busy planning how I’ll be ringing in 2013 with my friends and family. While I was playing with holiday party invitation styles and colors and accessories, I came up with this idea and thought I would share it with you.
I thought I would send out my Let It Snow Holiday Invitation – don’t you just love the unique pink and grey colors of the modern tree and snowflake design?
And once guests arrive at the party, I’ll give them their favor candies in personalized custom cups in fuchsia and silver. I think the fun tree design on the personalized cups will be a great reminder of the design on the invitation. And the cups will be a fun memento of the party.
Then I’ll set the table with silver chargers, mercury glass candles and pink metallic ornaments. For the finishing touch, I’ll add in my personalized Holiday Cheer Ooh La Color Napkins to the place settings. The pink and grey design is a perfect match to the invitation and my party’s color scheme!
