The best way to end your wedding reception
You've surely thought of every detail to make your wedding reception perfect: the décor, the food, the beverages, the cakes the favors, the dance music.
But have you thought about how your reception should END? Remember, a well-planned event doesn't just fizzle out and cause guests to wander out aimlessly. It leaves guests delighted with one last surprise that causes them to remember your wedding forever.
How do you do it? Delight guests by setting up a coffee or hot chocolate bar just as the dance is ending! They'll love the little treat to refresh themselves after kicking up their heels, and they'll relish devouring the treats on the way home.
Have a selection of gourmet coffees and hot chocolates ready for guests to pour into take-away cups, and arrange donuts and bagels on pretty silver trays or in vases for guests to help themselves to. Don't forget to order personalized napkins and cellophane bags or favor bags for guests to use when serving themselves. Add printed menu cards to encourage guests to enjoy! Or, you could package donuts or bagels and a hot chocolate or coffee packet in a cellophane bag, add a personalized seal and a ribbon, and send guests off with a sweet treat they can enjoy in the morning.
One Sweet Week – Treat your groom to a cake of his own!
It’s
easy to get caught up the frills and the beauty of wedding cake planning. But
don’t forget an important person who deserves a cake of his own — your groom!
The
sky’s the limit when coming up with a theme for your groom’s cake. Think about
his hobbies, the sports teams he loves, his profession, his pet and then ask
your baker to get creative and design a cake your groom will love digging into
with the guys!
Here
are some fun ideas and some questions to get you thinking about what kind of
cake to design for YOUR groom.
1,5.
Does he play sports or still cheer for his alma mater’s team (Arkansas
Razorbacks or Georgia Bulldogs, anyone)? Put the mascot on the cake and bring
back lots of memories.
2.
Is he a gambling man or does he love to travel? Come up with a cake theme that
shows his adventurous side.
3.
Are you wine lovers? A grape- and wine-themed cake will be perfect!
4.
Is he an avid fisherman? Show it on his cake, and you’re sure to remind him
that you’re his best catch ever!
6.
Is he a student or a teacher? He’ll love hitting the books when they’re on a
cake this sweet!
7.
Have you just bought your first home, or is he a realtor? Build a cake from
that theme!
8.
Does he have a sweet tooth? Recreate his favorite treat on his cake and you’ll
have him smiling!
9.
What’s his profession? Bring in elements of his work into the cake (think:
carpenter, fireman, writer, computer whiz, etc.)

Pulling the whole
groom’s cake theme together.
Once
you’ve decided on the theme and design for your groom’s cake, add fun elements
that will create a great experience!
1.
Let’s say your man’s favorite drink is a Jack and Coke. The cake could be a
barrel of whiskey…
2. you could print cocktail napkins with his favorite drink recipe…
3.
and you could give groomsmen a great gift of a personalized flask and a flared glass full of delicious treats.

Top 3 Money Saving Ideas: Ditch these wedding “shoulds” and save money!
Is
your wedding budget feeling stretched because of all the things you think you
"should" include in your celebration? Well, consider doing away with
these three "shoulds" and let your budget take a breather!
Should #1: You should have
cloth linens at your reception tables.
Budget Saver: Paper wedding napkins are economical (cocktail napkins are just $26 per 100 and dinner napkins are
only $28 per 100), and they're just as lovely as cloth napkins! Napkins are
available in colors sure to match your table linens and best of all, they're
personalized to coordinate with your wedding theme and style! If you need ideas on wedding themes, we have a variety of ideas for you.
Should #2: You should treat
guests to elaborate favors to thank them for celebrating with you.
Budget Saver: Even the simplest wedding favors
— like our classic favor box (just $18 per 50) filled with yummy treats — will tell guests you appreciate
them. If you fall in love with a more elaborate favor, consider giving one
favor per couple and check out our stylish wedding favor boxes!

Inner Envelope Addressing
Should #3: You should hire a
calligrapher to address your invitation envelopes, or you should learn
calligraphy and address your envelopes yourself.
Budget Saver: Using Jean M's Customized
Envelope Addressing Service
will not only save you money over hiring a calligrapher (costs are as low as
$55 per 100), it will save you the hassle of addressing all your inner and
outer invitation envelopes yourself! Click here for complete information.
